Benelli’s stall has to most exciting place to stay and drool when it comes to motorcycle pavilion of the many others. The motorcycles shown here is something that we have dreamt and drawn and wanted them for a long time. Right from super sport litre class naked motorcycles to variety of quarter litre machines seen here. The TNT series in every single cubic capacity is present here and now there is this.
The adventure motorcycle with a quarter litre engine and a lot of torque is the new Benelli BX 250 Motard. Designed recently by the Benelli team in China and being made there itself, the motorcycle promises to be a lot of fun for riders in the country as we have been waiting for something like this.
Benelli BX 250 Motard is one a kind of motorcycle which promises off-road and on-road capabilities at the same time. The engine is a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single cylinder, 4 valves unit that churns out 25 BHP of power and a healthy 20 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Benelli BX 250 Motard has a top-speed of 130 km/hr. The motorcycle weighs at 135 kgs. The tank capacity of this motorcycle is just 9.1 litres.
The chassis is the similar and seen before Trellis unit. The suspension however seen here is are super fat 50mm front USD forks. The rear unit is a monoshock which is adjustable for preload. Brakes are top-notch too with 280mm disc at the front with two caliper and 240m disc at the rear with two caliper pistons.
The motorcycle does look apart and there is nothing in this segment seen before. We can expect to see something like this from Honda and Hero soon as they have their engines and motorcycles ready. Launch for this most probably unlikely anytime soon, but it can happen some day if we all wanted too.
