2016 BMW X1 unveiled, will launch with Two petrol and three diesel units

BMW today unveiled its start of the SUV line-up 2016 BMW X1, as a planned online debut. The new X1 introduces itself as a proud successor of the previous gen X1, which sold more than 730,000 units globally. BMW claims the first gen X1 to have blazed the trail for this class of car. The second gen of the X1 sources the body design directly from the BMW X product portfolio. The interior offers spacious cabin for passengers and luggage, equipments with latest in class technology.

Powered by BMW Group’s latest power houses combined with BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and newly developed chassis technology. Additionally to the new BMW X1, the company has hosted innovative features which makes the second gen stand out from the crowed in its class, the list of options are like the full-LED headlights, Dynamic Damper Control, the BMW Head-Up Display and the Driving Assistant Plus system.


The flowing aggressive and dynamic lines give the SUV a commanding character from every angle looked at. The youngest entrant of the BMW X family has grown 53 millimetres in height, which results to the spaciousness at the interior. The driver focused cockpit design which adds to the sturdy approach comes from the regular BMW house. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, an audio system with USB and AUX-in sockets, and the iDrive operating system, whose 6.5-inch display is integrated into the instrument panel in freestanding monitor form.


The new BMW X1 couples up with all-new selection of engines. Two petrol and three diesel units with four cylinders and all part of the BMW Group’s new engine family.

The output ranges from 150HP to 230HP which are linked to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed Steptronic unit, both of which are new developments. The second gen falls under the front-wheel-drive construction which has already proved successful in the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer by delivering high level dynamics to driving.


The advancement in generations of the 2016 BMW X1 has brought in significant makeovers in connectivity and safety systems. The infotainment features BMW Head-Up Display which, as in the larger BMW X models. Also features, Driving Assistant Plus line-up of the Active Cruise Control system with Stop & Go function, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Jam Assistant, Collision Warning and Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function.
The 2016 BMW X1 will be launched officially across the globe around October 2015.
