The 2016 Kawasaki Versys 650 has launched in India at Rs.6.6 Lakhs along with the off-road motorcycle KLX110 that is priced at Rs.2,65,000. Versys 650 is directly go up against Honda CBR650F as the bike is also a road-going touring motorcycle.
However, this type of motorcycle is different despite serving the same purpose as demand is higher in the market today for raised suspension and on-off tyre equipped motorcycles.
As the ABS is standard on Versys 650 and bike will be imported as a CKD unit, the bike is priced at Rs. 6.6 Lakhs Ex-showroom Mumbai.
At the rear, shock comes with revised settings for improved performance and a remote pre-load adjuster. The braking system gets improvement over the Ninja 650. 2015 Versys 650 will come with dual 300mm discs and new twin-piston callipers at the front. The rear disc is larger at 250mm, which is up from 220mm.

The motorcycle isn’t a mileage conscious motorcycle but going by the Ninja 650 it should return a healthy 24-25 km/l if sanely ridden
2165 X 840 X 1400/1450 (higher seat) mm Wheelbase stands at 1,415 mm and Ground Clearance, is 170mm and kerb weight stands at 216 for ABS. 120 section front tyre and 160 section rear tyre mostly Bridgestone are set to come with the motorcycle.
Exterior Designing:
Aesthetically, the Versys 650’s bodywork gets the same treatment as the 1000 Verys which is a good thing. However, there are noticeable changes such as, 2016 Versys 650 comes with revised headlight configuration and more aggressive fuel tank styling.
Colours: In India, we will be getting one color option only most likely, something that Kawasaki should work to make a difference.

2015 Versys 650 comes with a larger windscreen that can be well adjusted. The 2015 Versys 650 gets more fuel capacity over the Versys 1000 and Ninja 650 as well. Thanks to the 21-litre tank, the range will be in the 500 plus km mark. ABS will standard on the motorcycle, a Kawasaki first for CBU motorcycle.
