All new Honda Livo finally has come to life and has been priced well enough along with two variants to choose from
Finally, the day of reckoning has arrived. Honda launched all new 2015 Honda Livo in the country today. 2015 Honda Livo is all set to come into the market of premium 100cc motorcycles with this brand new offering. Honda has taken the Twister concept and applied it to the 2015 Honda Livo. As expected and said by us, the 2015 Honda Livo is the replacement for not so best-selling Twister.
Honda says the 2015 Honda Livo gets aerodynamic design. The styling is clearly taken from the massively popular Honda Unicorn 160 and is toned down a bit. The design makes it look more upmarket and less commuter-ish. Meanwhile, below the skin, it is a hardcore Honda commuter indeed. The motorcycle does look very stylish with its biking fairing, raised stance and fresh headlight which is stubby yet sporty.
Long flowing side panels are the new industry trend to give the motorcycle a substantial look. 2015 Honda Livo also gets the premium badge on the bikini fairing seen on the spy shots we served you. The 2015 Honda Livo is available in four colors which are Blue, Black, White and Brown. Honda’s all new Livo, the 110cc motorcycle comes in two variants – Self-Drum-Alloy and Self-Disc-Alloy.
The platform remains the one seen in the Dream series of motorcycles. 2015 Honda Livo gets longest wheelbase in its class. The 2015 Honda Livo also gets the highest ground clearance in its class. The engine as we told you is a 110cc engine that comes with 4-speed transmission. The claimed mileage is 74 km/l from this new HET engine.
The new 110cc HET engines produces 8.28 BHP of power and 8.63 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The compression ratio is set 9:9:1 and top speed is recorded at 86 km/hr. The 2015 Honda Livo weighs at 111 kgs and has a 8.5 fuel tank as well. Disc at the front is 240mm and in the drum variant the front drum is a 130mm unit. Tyres size are 80/100/18 on both ends.
2015 Honda Livo prices start from 52,989 for the drum-alloy and 55,489 disc-alloy, Ex-Delhi. Competition check includes the rival Bajaj Discover 100M which comes at a starting price of Rs. 48,210/-, TVS Star City Plus comes at Rs. 46,664/- and the Mahindra Centuro comes Rs.51,330/-. Time will tell us that the this new 2015 Honda Livo will succeed or share the same fate as the Twister.
Honda is known for launching products before which either succeed or not. With the Activa, Honda did and meanwhile with the Honda Twister did not. However, market is now open for these kind of motorcycles as the competition is already in. 2015 Honda Livo is all set to ring the cash registers of Honda at least in the urban areas.
