The second generation of Ertiga made its global debut at Indonesia International Motor Show last month. The Indo-Japanese manufacturer has already commenced road testing of new generation Ertiga in India. For the second generation model, Suzuki has given new Heartect platform for Ertiga which made its debut in Baleno. This platform helps Ertiga to shed some weight and make it more efficient than the previous model.

The new model of Ertiga is longer and wider than the outgoing model as the company want to improve third row space which is lacking right now. The design of Ertiga is completely new and different but the body shape continues to be same. The front get new wider grille with Suzuki logo in the middle and swept back headlamps extend to the grille.
The design of front bumper gives the impression of a much wider car and from some angles the Ertiga looks like MPV segment leader which is Toyota Innova Crysta.

On the side, Suzuki has given a new shoulder line which starts from front wheel arches and continues to the tail lamps. The design of third row glass is also similar to Innova. Suzuki has given a big tail lamp for Ertiga which took inspiration from Volvo cars and it is integrated into the tail gate. Suzuki has given chrome finish on the top of number plate holder and the bumper is also new. Overall, the design of Ertiga is grown up and premium. The interior continues the new theme from outside as the company has given beige colour for the interior which increases airy feel of the cabin.

The dashboard design took inspirations from Audi but it goes well with the overall design of Ertiga. Like other MPVs, the Ertiga now get roof mounted AC vents as it will be more effective in MPV models. The Ertiga is loaded with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, push button start, keyless entry and more.
