In the new 2018 models, red and silver colours have been given the maximum attention
Yamaha has introduced new colour schemes for its three high-end motorcycles. The 2018 Yamaha XSR range along with the FJR1300 tourer will be available for sale at the dealerships in new colours.
To start off with, Yamaha has introduced a new Brilliant Red colour for its retro styled motorcycle XSR700. The said livery pays tribute to the company’s XS2 motorcycle that was popular during the 1972. For those not in the know, the Yamaha XSR700 has been designed and developed as an important member of the company’s Sport Heritage line up.
The new 2018 model is almost identical to the existing version except the neat silver detailing. Besides the new red colour, the 2018 XSR700 will be available in two more colours namely Silver or Garage Metal and Black. The motorcycle is currently available for sale at a price of £6699.
Coming to its elder sibling, the XSR900 also gets a new red colour. The motorcycle gets a brighter red paint scheme in comparison to the XSR700 that is christened Racing Red. The bike also comes with silver detailing for the 2018 version and will be available at the company’s dealerships in a couple of more colour options viz Garage Metal and Tech Black. The 2018 Yamaha XSR900 has been priced at £8499.
Last but definitely not the least, the colour palette of the Yamaha FJR1300 sports tourer has been updated with new shades like Tech Graphite and Phantom Blue. The motorcycle comes powered by a 1298cc, four cylinder engine that has been assisted with a five-speed transmission system. The fuel injected motor is good for churning out respective power and torque figures of 145 bhp and 125 Nm.
In other news, Yamaha has recently unveiled the 2018 versions of XSR700 retro motorcycle and X-Max scooter in the United States. The two models have been displayed at the AIM Expo in Columbus in Ohio.
