The new Harley-Davidson range will roll on new tyres. For this purpose, renowned brand Michelin has developed new Scorcher rubber for the American brand’s line up of motorcycles. To be specific, the new tyres will come fitted in the 2018 Harley-Davidson Low Rider, Fat Boy and the Breakout range of motorcycles.

Two new Michelin Scorcher tyres namely Scorcher 31 and Scorcher 11 have been developed for the above stated Harley models. While the Scorcher 31 offers traditional cruiser characteristics, the Scorcher 11 puts more focus on sportbike riding. The material selected for the treads of both these tyres have been picked in such a way that they offer superior grip in wet, damp and cold weather conditions. The company said that both these tyres are factory fitted on the aforementioned models while on some, these can be replaced as after market.

Michelin has been working closely with Harley-Davidson for almost two years to develop these Scorcher tyres. The advanced modeling helped the engineers of the two companies work in a virtual manner across the global research centres in order to design the tyres and finally fine tune them to meet the specifications of the motorcycles. The efforts of the two giants and the high quality standards helped in the making of these tyres that sync with the performance needs of the said Harley Motorcycles.

The new Fat Boy will come fitted with a 160/60R18 front and 240/40R18 rear Scorcher 11 tyre for unmatched performance and outstanding on-road grip.
