​​​​Bajaj To Launch Updated Platina And V This Month

​The upcoming models will likely feature new colour schemes along with a few nips and tucks to enhance the desirability

Bajaj Auto has revealed that it will launch new versions of its popular commuter motorcycles – Platina and V sometime this month. Last month, the Pune-based manufacturer had launched one new variant each of CT 100 and Platina with electric start being the prime highlight. The latest announcement by the company comes just ahead of the festive season during which the sale of vehicles are on an all-time high in comparison to the rest of the year.

In an interview, Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto revealed the performance of the brand for current fiscal. Regarding this, the top honcho stated that the market share of the company has dipped from 20 percent to 16 percent. But the good news is that the numbers have improved in the recent months.

To be precise, Mr Bajaj said that the sales numbers for the brand have started improving starting August and September is expected to be better if everything remains fine. Moreover, the new upcoming products will have a major role to play. He concluded by saying that this month, the brand will be launching fresh versions of the Platina and V.

Further explaining his vision, Rajiv Bajaj said that the company is looking forward to a healthy business including exports and three-wheelers by the end of second half of the current year.

The company did not revealed the exact details about the upcoming new versions of the Platina and V. We expect these motorcycles to come with new colour schemes to make them more attractive and desirable with the onset of festivities.

While the Bajaj Platina is present in the company’s portfolio for India for quite sometime now, the V is comparatively a newcomer that registered its entry back in February 2016. The motorcycle contains the metal of India’s first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant that played a vital role during the 1971 war.
