Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is based on the company’s Scrambler Icon and gets unique exterior updates

Following the launch of the SuperSport in September and the BS4-compliant Diavel Diesel, Ducati India has introduced the Scrambler Mach 2.0 version in the domestic market at Rs. 8.52 lakh (ex-showroom). Its arrival has been anticipated for three months ever since the information was revealed by the brand’s official Twitter handle.

For those not in the know, the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 comes based on the Scrambler Icon and the most evident change is the new paint scheme. The new colour takes its inspiration from the Bell Cross Helmet that made its appearance for the first time in the 2017 Ducati Apparel collection. The paint work on the new Scrambler Mach 2.0 is said to have been done by Roland Sands, who happens to be a well known motorcycle customizer.

Besides a new paint scheme, the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 also comes with a flat track seat along with a lowered handlebar to make it differ from the standard Icon. Furthermore, the special edition model also receives different cooling fins and cylinder heads.

Mechanically, there are no changes to the Scrambler Mach 2.0. The bike is powered by the same 803cc, L-twin motor that runs the standard Icon model. The punchy motor sheds out a maximum power output of 74 bhp along with a peak torque of 68 Nm. Gearbox is a six-speed unit. The motorcycle has a total kerb weight of 186 kgs and has been assisted with a 13.5-litre fuel tank.

The bike demands a higher premium over the regular Scrambler Icon for obvious reasons. The Icon retails in India at Rs. 7.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Mach 2.0 is nearly Rs. 1.3 lakh dearer than the standard model. It is the sixth Scrambler variant to enter India following the Icon, Desert Sled, Classic, Full Throttle and the Café Racer.
