Yamaha FZ25 has launched in India inspired by the design language of MT-03; rivals Apache RTR 200 and Pulsar NS200

It has been over two years since Yamaha launched the second version of the popular FZ series for the domestic market. The FZ range does have a huge fan following across the country and is sort of dream series as much as Pulsar and Apache for the young potential customers seeking affordable sporty bikes in the volume segment.

With the growing expectations and performance levels for buyers opting to spend over one lakh rupees, the bike manufacturers have certainly responded as can be evident with the auspicious running of the Duke and RC series from KTM. However, Bajaj and TVS did not rest on their laurels as well as they spurred up their respective popular brands.

Walkaround Video:

Launched in 2015, the Pulsar range has the RS200 fully-faired motorcycle as the flagship model now while TVS elected to boast its Apache series with the naked 200 4V motorcycle. Putting them aside, Yamaha was quite tight-lipped about an upmarket rival to both these bikes and if you suggested that the current market scenario was the right time for the Japanese brand to deliver, we would not have said no!

We have found the right metal finally! and it would put Yamaha in the fray as the 250cc version of the FZ has just been launched in India. Yamaha says it is the perfect bike for customers seeking to step up from the regular FZ series. It is made for the ‘new-generation machos’, that’s the youths and urban riders of India looking for a perfect platform to upgrade into premium naked bikes.
