Yamaha Cygnus Alpha Disc Brake Variant Launched

The Yamaha Cygnus Alpha disc brake variant is priced Rs. 52556 (ex showroom, Delhi)

Yamaha Motor has launched a new variant of the Cygnus Alpha scooter, which is equipped with disc brake. The scooter comes with a price tag of Rs. 52556 (ex showroom, Delhi), and it will be available across all the Yamaha dealerships from middle of June, 2016. The new disc brake variant of the Cygnus Alpha gets two different colour options which are radiant Cyan and Marvel Black. Apart from the disc brake variant the outgoing drum brake variant will continue to sell as well.

Power source for the Cygnus Alpha disc brake variant is a peppy 113 cc air cooled four stroke single cylinder engine which can deliver a smooth acceleration and pick up. The scooter is equipped with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology which ensures improved fuel efficiency; increased cooling efficiency and it also reduce power loss. The scooter offers amazing 66 kmpl of fuel economy, thanks to the Blue Core technology, which makes this scooter appealing.

The Cygnus Alpha scooter sports new graphics in colour shades like Black and Cyan, and it also gets 21 litres of storage capacity. Yamaha ensures the riders get comfort with the flat long seat and large foot peg for both the rider and the pillion.

Talking about the introduction of the disc brake variant to the Yamaha Cygnus Alpha scooter Mr. Roy Kurian, the Vice President, sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd has been saying, how Yamaha has been able to keep its growth steady in the rapidly growing scooter market in India.

He also believes the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer will be able to capture at least 10% or market share by the end of this year. he also added, that the introduction of the disc brake to the Cygnus Alpha will not only ensure better safety for the riders, but it will also attract new customers in the segment.
