Volvo Cars China unveiled the interior of the upcoming luxury sedan S90 Excellence at the ongoing 2016 Beijing Auto Show. It gives us the preview how the top of the line car is going to be at interior. The interior suggests that the car will sport premium luxury and will offer comfort with all possible luxurious elements to the occupants.
The front gets dual tone leather wrapped three spoke multifunction steering wheel, fully digital instrument cluster and the centre console will sport Volvo’s signature large tab like touchscreen infotainment display, which will give the driver the controlling capability of several activities of the car. The dashboard sports premium wooden trims and it gets premium quality leather wrapping as well. The interior will also boast Volvo’s conceptual lounge console, which makes the front passenger seat very interesting by replacing it with a leg rest and a foldable table, which gets a 12.9 inch I-Pad Pro Tablet.
The Volvo S90 Excellence luxury sedan will sport a splitting individual seating arrange at the rear instead of a bench, just like its bigger sibling Volvo XC90 Excellence. The rear seats will be divided by a flowing console, which will be wrapped in plush premium leather. These individual seats will get power controlled reclining function. Not only that, to add more luxury these seats will offer back massage, ventilation and the rear occupants will get increased leg space compare to its standard S90 sibling. Well, there more features waiting for the rear occupants. They will get a refrigerator with bottle and glass holders, cup holders with heating and cooling function, and hand crafted crystal glasses by Orrefors. Other features include footrests for rear occupants, ambient lighting, 19 speaker Bower and Wilkins surround sound system with an additional speaker placed between the rear seats.
The top of the line S90 Excellence is expected to be powered by T8 twin Engine hybrid powertrain like the XC90 T8 Twin Engine. This powertrain gets a 2.0 litre supercharged and turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine combined with an electric motor, which churns out 407 hp peak power and 640 Nm of peak torque.
