World Premier of the Volkswagen Breeze (VW Ameo) at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, to get 1.2 Petrol & 1.5 Diesel Engine
Soon! India will get its first Made for India Volkswagen car in upcoming Auto Expo 2016 in the form of Compact Sedan. Volkswagen, struggling worldwide due to the emission scandal and growing competition in premium hatchback and the sedan segment in India, VW finally entering a new segment that could bring the good numbers monthly for them.
VW entered in India back in 2007 with the launch of the Passat. Soon after that, VW launched another premium sedan ‘Jetta’ in India and launch the four new products in 2009 (Beetle, Touareg, Polo and Vento). Polo and Vento becomes brand best selling models soon after the launch however VW fails to gain some good market share despite 6 product under the brand. Along with that, New launches from the competition also hurts the VW product sales in India. Despite the fact that VW was the World’s no.1 car manufacturer, it failed to grow the root into the Indian car Market.
But now after the 8 Years of Indian operation, VW finally launching the India Specific ‘Made for India’ ‘Made in India’ car into the compact sedan segment. The segment, which contributes 35000 cars monthly and 400000+ cars annually in India showed the hope to the German Auto Giant for growth in India.
Speculated by many names in the past like Vento Compact sedan, VW Bora and VW Ameo, Today, we came with another name based on some inputs from source that it could be called as Volkswagen Brezze in India. Breeze, earlier was known as the Vento Breeze or Polo Breeze as it was the special edition variant launched in the festive season of year 2011. Other than that, Volkswage Breeze is the name of one of the UK’s biggest VW Showroom Chain as well. Among the three names i.e Bora, Ameo and Breeze, Volkswagen Breeze fits perfectly with the German character of Made for India VW Compact Sedan.
