Triumph Bonneville T120 launched in India, Booking commenced at 12 dealerships across the country

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has launched the all new Bonneville T120 in India at a price tag of Rs. 8.70 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). Booking has also begun at their 12 dealerships across the country. First unveiled in October last year, Triumph showcased the bike at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo in February this year alongside the other models of Bonneville lineup.

Triumph Bonneville T120 comes with a tubular steel cradle body frame. The front wheel sports telescopic fork suspension and the rear wheel get twin shock absorbers. Although the design is classical like, but the bike dons several modern day elements like dual pod instrument cluster with LCD display, LED daytime running lights integrated to the round headlamp, LED tail lamp etc. It also gets features like chrome garnishing, heated grips, grab rail for pillion, centre stand, spoke wheels, chrome exhaust headers , pea shooter pattern silencers. Not only that, the Triumph Bonneville T120 gets ABS, slip assisting clutch, traction control, dual ride mode like Rain and Road. It gets USB charging socket as well.

Dimensionally, the Triumph Bonneville T120 comes with 2170 mm of length, 785 mm of width and 1125 mm of height. The wheelbase stands at 1445 mm with the seat height of 785 mm. In the dry mode the bike weighs 224 Kgs.

Power source for the bike is a large high torque 1200 cc 8 valve fuel injected liquid cooled parallel twin engine which gets mated to a 6 speed gearbox sending power to rear wheels. This powertrain kicks out 79 bhp of peak power at 6550 rpm and 105 Nm of peak torque at 3100 rpm.

The bike will be available in four colour schemes like Cranberry Red, Jet Black, Pure White and Cinder Red. The Triumph is offering a range of accessories for the bike, among which there is a ‘Prestige inspiration kit’, with which riders can customize their bikes.

In India Triumph has introduced three bikes from the Bonneville range which include the entry level Street Twin, T120, which has been just launched and the soon to be launched Thruxton R. The Thruxton R will be the fastest Bonneville from the Triumph, when it gets launched.
