Tata Hexa spied during brochure photo shoot; it is going to be the flagship car for the Tata Motors, once launched in India

Tata Motors is all prepared to launch its flagship car Tata Hexa in coming weeks. Ahead of the launch the car has been spied wearing all the accessories during its brochure photo shoot. The Tata Hexa production variant was showcased at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo, earlier this year.

Tata Hexa comes built following the IMPACT design language. It has been designed taking the suggestion from the Jaguar Land Rover. The Hexa looks aggressive and stylish as well as pretty upmarket also. It gets sharp headlamp with LED daytime running lights integrated, aggressive piano black finished front grille, a muscular bumper with large air intake and unusual shaped fog lamps.

The car clearly bears design cues from the Land Rover Discovery. At the side profile the muscular looking Hexa gets side body cladding, chrome finished door handles, blackened glass area, turn indicator integrated wing mirrors, roof rails. The rear fascia also comes featuring large wrap around taillights and beefy bumper with twin chrome finished exhausts.

Dimensionally, the upcoming Tata Hexa measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,850 mm. Inside the cabin also Hexa looks premium with features like multifunction steering wheel, analog digital combo instrument cluster, Harman Kardon developed touchscreen infotainment system etc. Also the captain seats and LED ambient roof lighting enhance the appeal.

Power comes from a 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine which also does duty in the Tata Safari Storme. The engine is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission and there will be an automatic gearbox on offer as well. This engine churns out 156.2 hp of peak power and 400 NM of peak torque. It will be available in both FWD and AWD configurations. On the safety front the car is equipped with several safety features.
