Maruti Suzuki YBA to only come with 1.3-litre diesel engine, to follow S-Cross way

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki YBA is based on the XA-Alpha concept and basically a Swift on steroids or let’s say it trained with a Austrian-American actor-politician. Jokes apart, Maruti Suzuki YBA is a compact SUV that will come under the sub 4-meter category and will gain the excise benefits as well. It is a soft roader with a front-wheel drive layout with the basic engines.
Our sources inform us that company is planning to put only diesel engine under the Maruti Suzuki YBA bonnet. The diesel engine is none other than the 1.3 Multijet engine which should run on 90 PS tune.
Clearly as we know and so do manufacturers that, SUV are bought because they have diesel engines as they promise higher fuel economy because the car has a higher kerb weight. In our country, diesel fuel is cheaper and being fuel efficient means its way to easy on the pocket. Expect the Maruti Suzuki YBA to debut at the Auto Expo 2016 under the price tag of Rs. 5.9 Lakhs to 9.2 Lakhs.
