Nissan Juke Rivaling Hyundai Sub-Compact SUV Spied Testing

Hyundai sub-compact SUV is expected to debut in 2017 and it takes inspiration from 2014 Intrado concept, Tucson SUV and new-gen i30

Hyundai’s upcoming sub-compact SUV has been spotted testing on German roads ahead of its 2017 debut. Once launched, the car will take on rivals like Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and Opel Mokka X. As it seems, the upcoming Hyundai baby SUV has taken inspiration from 2014 Intrado concept, and also from other Hyundai models like Tucson and i30 as well.

As the heavily camouflaged prototype of upcoming Hyundai SUV has been spied testing, the spyshots suggest it gets a hexagonal large front grille, and a low sitting headlamp, which altogether give this car a distinctive appearance. Apart from that, bold multi-spoke alloy wheels are also visible. At rear profile, the car is likely to receive sleek and wide LED taillights, which is similar to Hyundai Tucson. Also a skid plate’s outline can be seen through the covers.

The car appears to be a blend between a hatchback and a midsize crossover. The unnamed SUV seems to be mimicking its potential rival Nissan Juke with the unique styling. As SUVs and crossovers are doing very well all around world, this upcoming Hyundai SUV could be a success once launched.

Though interior of Hyundai’s upcoming sub-compact SUV is not revealed yet, but the South Korean automaker is known for offering upmarket interior features inside their cars. Expect this upcoming SUV to offer several upmarket features like modern age connectivity systems. In terms of space as well, it is likely to offer generous amount of room inside the cabin.

On powertrain front, upcoming Hyundai SUV could use a range of turbocharged three-cylinder and four-cylinder petrol engines. Expect engine options to range between 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre units, while top variants could receive an AWD.
