Nissan GT-R arrives at dealerships ahead of launch; the Japanese brand already started receiving bookings from early September

Nissan GT-R aka ‘Godzilla’ is all set to launch on 9th November in India, and ahead of its launch, the car has been spotted at a dealership in the country with covers on its bonnet. Nissan GT-R was showcased at 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year in February, and Nissan started receiving booking for this car since early September.

Nissan GT-R is expected to don a price tag of around Rs. 2 crore (ex-showroom) in India, and booking amount for this car is Rs. 25 lakh. Interestingly, earlier reports suggest that, the first batch of Nissan GT-R allotted for Indian market has been sold out already.

Nissan introduced the all-new GT-R at 2016 New York Motor Show earlier this year in its new avatar, which gets some design updates, and performance update as well. Nissan claims, this facelift is the most prominent one GT-R has ever received till date. The model gets Nissan’s signature V-motion grille, new mesh pattern, revised hood. Also, the car has received front lip spoiler, and revised bumper as well.

The all-new Nissan GT-R is much more improved in terms of aerodynamic efficiency as well. Interior of GT-R has been restyled as well. New GT-R gets lesser buttons compared to the previous model, giving the car’s centre console an uncluttered look. Apart from that, it features an all-new multifunction steering wheel with paddle-shifters, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Leather on seats and upholstery has been updated as well.

In terms of power, new Nissan GT-R produces more power compared to its predecessor. The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, churns out 570 PS of peak power, which is 20 PS extra than previous model, while it kicks out 637 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate 0 – 100 kmph in just 3 seconds.
