New Land Rover Discovery’s Seats Can Be Extensively Configured

All new Land Rover Discovery will make its global premiere on 28th September

Land Rover Discovery is all geared up to get a new generation model, when the car makes its global premiere on 28th September. Meanwhile the British luxury SUV manufacturer has shown its Intelligent Seat Fold system through a video. The system can be operated through Land Rover’s InControl Remote App from a smartphone.

The video shows the TV personality Bear Grylls doing a daredevil stunt. Bear Grylls is known for his affection towards the Land Rover vehicles, and he is also the brand ambassador for the British marquee. In the video Bear Grylls tests the Intelligent Seat Fold system while free falling from sky at a speed of more than 200 kmph.

Along with a team of Roya Navy parachute display team, Grylls jumps out of an airplane; and operates the system from a smartphone strapped onto his arm. Just before the parachute opens he folds up the seats through the InControl Remote App, which is available on both the iOS and Android platform. The entire seat folding operation can be done in just 14 seconds. The InControl App from the JLR can be used to perform some other actions like roll up windows, turn on the AC, checking fuel level etc.

The all new Land Rover Discovery is scheduled for its global premiere on 28th September just ahead of Paris Motor Show. The 2017 Land Rover discovery comes bigger and better than the outgoing model. As we have already reported earlier, the luxury SUV comes featuring an all new front fascia and more space inside the cabin.
