On mechanical front the new Bajaj Pulsar 220 comes with an updated engine, which is BS-IV emission compliant. Power and torque output remains same, as the engine churns out 21.05 PS of peak power at 8,500 rpm and 19.12 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. Transmission duty is done by same 5-speed manual gearbox. Apart from that, the bike gets a new timing chain ensuring lesser noise and smoother power delivery. The bike will lock horn with rivals like Suzuki Gixxer SF and Yamaha Fazer Fi.

Bajaj Pulsar is certainly a very popular bike range in India for quite long time. The company keeps updating these bikes more often, but generally with new colour schemes. This time the changes came in more significant way, which will surely enhance the appeal of Pulsar and also make them environmental friendly.
