Maruti Y9T LCV to badged as Maruti Suzuki Super Carry – Spied

Maruti Suzuki Super Carry spotted testing with an CNG equipped engine from Eeco.

Maruti is all set to enter the LCV segment with the Maruti Suzuki Super Carry. A vehicle that should jump start Maruti’s attempt for more volume in the country where the market for commercial vehicles is huge. The Maruti Suzuki LCV ‘Y9T’ named as Super Carry was spotted testing in the CNG variant this time. Maruti Suzuki Super Carry is LCV that should be able to carry one tonne of weight depending load length and engine power capacity.

The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry will come with two engine options. The CNG variant be will the 1200cc engine from the Eeco that will produce around 35-40 BHP of power and should give a healthy economy of 35 km/l plus. The diesel engine will be the 792cc Maruti In-house Diesel engine similar to the recently launched 793cc Celerio Diesel.

Maruti Super Carry

The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry diesel engine will be tuned for more torque and less horsepower and will be able to carry more payload. Pricing should be around Rs. 2.5 lakh mark and more. Maruti Suzuki Super Carry will have car like interiors and will be a single cabin with two seats. Styling wise, Maruti Suzuki Super Carry does resemble to the old Maruti Omni Van. Maruti Suzuki Super Carry will rival the new Jeeto from Mahindra and Tata Super Ace.
