Maruti Suzuki S-Cross get two engine options, new names for variants and much more

Yes, we are talking about the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross which is all set to launch next month. Maruti Suzuki has send over details of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and it packs a lot more kit than any Maruti till date and is all set to offer a lot more at a value for money tag.
Gone are the days with Lxi, Vxi, ZDI etc. The new variant names will be Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Sigma and Sigma (o). We expect these variant to follow for Maruti Suzuki YRA as well. Anyways back to the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Sigma is the new LXI and the Delta is the new ZXI for example.
Total 8 variants are on offer this time thanks to engine options. The 1.3 Diesel and 1.6 Diesel engine. Both these engines seen on the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are sourced from Fiat. Fuel efficiency will be another great point of the Maruti S-Cross as the 1.3-litre DDiS200 motor will return an ARAI certified 23.65 km/l and the 1.6-litre DDiS320 engine will return 22.7 km/l.

Maruti has not taken any chances with safety this time as the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will come with dual airbags and ABS as standard on all variants except the Sigma variant. Sigma (o) variant though gets ABS and dual airbags. An Excellent move by Maruti Suzuki for sure which deserves a around for applause.
Features list of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross feature loaded with HID projector headlamps, LED DRLs, illumination control, rain sensing wiper, reverse parking sensors with display and camera. MID unit with trip meter, fuel consumption and outside temperature display are also seen on the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Maruti Suzuki S-Cross also gets keyless go, rear demister, touchscreen infotainment unit with navigation, smartphone integration, auto headlamps, cruise control among various other safety and infotainment goodies.
Maruti has skipped on features when it comes base variants to keep the pricing competitive for the first few variants. There is no bluetooth cd player and steering mounted controls missing. There are some other features missing which the competition offers. However, Maruti offers most of the features on all variants and the competition keeps it for top two variants.
