Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Urban Concept Showcased at GIIAS 2016

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Urban Concept showcased in Indonesia is a mildly accessorized version of the regular variant of the midsize sedan

Ciaz is Maruti Suzuki’s attempt to make a premium sedan in Indian market. The car has become very popular in short time. Stylish design, upmarket features played crucial role for the car in being popular in the country. Now the Suzuki has showcased the Ciaz Urban Concept at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show or GIIAS.

The Ciaz Urban Concept is basically a mildly accessorized version of the regular model. Painted in glossy black the car looks stunning indeed. In an attempt to make it more stylish and appealing compared to the regular model Suzuki has applied chrome trims at the car, with some faux carbon fibre elements as well. The upgrades come in cosmetic guise only.

The front fascia sports identical headlamps and radiator grille. Additionally the fascia receives chrome garnished horizontal slats at the lower air intake. The fog lamp enclosures also get chrome trim. At the side profile the car features side skirts, faux carbon fibre at the B pillar. The B pillar comes with a Ciaz lettering as well. Changes have been made at the rear profile as well.

The rear profile receives a sporty roof spoiler, which surely enhances the appeal of the car. Rear bumper has been revised with chrome trims at both ends. The rear profile has got some chrome trims as well. The interior of the car comes with minimal change. Only visible change compared to the India spec Ciaz is the dashboard. It dons a sporty black theme. The entire cabin gets the black theme, which gives it a sporty feel.

On the safety front the car comes with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, side impact beams etc. The Indonesia spec Suzuki Ciaz gets power from a 1.4 litre K14B petrol engine. Transmission options for the car include both 5 speed manual and a 4 speed automatic gearbox. The engine is capable to churn out 92 PS of peak power and 130 Nm of peak torque.
