Maruti Super Carry LCV to be retailed via exclusive sales channel, comes with 792cc 5 Speed 2 Cylinder engine which deliver 22 kmpl
Maruti Suzuki plans to grab a fare share of the super profitable Light Commercial Motor Vehicle segment in Indian market. The Indo Japanese automaker has launched its first LCMV in the country called Super Carry, which will begin selling in late August. Initially the vehicle will be available in three cities only, which are Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Ludhiana. Ex showroom, pricing of the vehicle is Rs. 4.03 lakh (Ahmedabad), Rs. 4.11 lakh (Kolkata) and Rs. 4.01 lakh (Ludhiana).
The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry has been already launched in several overseas markets. In India it will be sold through the newly established commercial channel. The automaker claims, this vehicles offers higher performance and more strength. Also the vehicles is claimed to come with larger loading capability and better safety features as well. The company has already invested a total of Rs. 300 crore in the development of the Super Carry LCV.

Power source for the vehicle is a lightweight, compact and efficient 793 cc twin cylinder diesel engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine churns out 24 KW at 3,500 rpm and 75 Nm of peak torque at 2,000 rpm. The vehicle comes with 22.07 kmpl of impressive fuel economy and 80 kmph of top speed. It also claimed to get lighter steering wheel, easy gear shift.
Maruti Suzuki claims, the Super Carry LCMV offers 3.25 square meter loading area, which can take up to 740 kilogram payload. On the suspension front the vehicle is equipped with McPherson strut suspension. On the braking the front wheels get disc brakes with LSPV braking system. The LSPV offers better stability during braking even with the fullest load. Turning radius for the vehicle is 4.3 meter.
The driver’s cabin is claimed to be quite spacious. It gets flat comfortable seats, thick fibre heat shield for better heat insulation and the pedals are designed to deliver comfortable driving experience. Among other features it sports fuel meter, trip meter, odometer, digital clock, dual assist grip, mobile charging socket etc. Also there is provision for the stereo system. Additionally the Super Carry is fitted with integrated rain guard, readily openable sliding back window glass.
The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry LCMV comes available in two different exterior colour options; Superior White and Silky Silver. The company offers a warranty of 2 years or 72,000 kilometers (whichever is earlier) for the vehicle.
