Honda Accord Hybrid was showcased at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo; India launch set to happen during festive season
Japanese automaker Honda has unveiled the all new Accord Hybrid sedan in Thailand. Earlier this year, the automaker showcased the car at 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo. The car is scheduled to launch in India during the upcoming festive season later this year. It seems, Honda is also set to launch the car in Malaysia as well.
The Honda Accord Hybrid comes sharing the similar design with the US spec model. The India bound model gets a little bit of tweaks though. The stylish upmarket sedan features all LED headlamps. The headlamp clusters come sporting a blue tinge, which indicates toward the eco friendliness of the powertrain. Apart from that the front fascia boasts thick chrome bar at the front grille, large air intake, horizontally placed LED light at the fog lamp enclosure.

Move to the side profile, the car sports alloy wheels, which look a bit different compare to the fossil fueled car. The sharp creases running through the side profile enhances the appeal. The rear profile boasts LED taillights with the same blue tinge like the headlamps.
Inside the cabin, the Honda Accord Hybrid gets multifunction steering wheel, a stylish and large instrument cluster. Also the other features include a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable driver seat, dual zone climate control etc.

Power source for the Honda Accord Hybrid is a 2.0 litre four cylinder petrol engine with EarthDreams technology. This internal combustion engine is combined with a 1.3 kW Li-ion battery pack. Combined the hybrid powertrain churns out 215 PS of peak power. An electronic CVT gearbox does the transmission duty in the Accord Hybrid. The car also features Intelligent Multi Mode Drive (i-MMD) system offering several driving modes.

The Honda Accord Hybrid is claimed to deliver 23.8 kmpl of impressive fuel economy. In India the car would don a price tag around Rs. 30 lakhs. The Accord was available in Indian market till 2013. Now it would be launched in a single trim option only.
