Touchscreen in Ford Figo and Aspire could be introduced in the future model year update

Reports are coming in that the Ford Figo and Ford Figo Aspire might be offered with a touchscreen system soon. Ford has initiated their Research & Development on touchscreen systems and most likely, the update will be introduced in the near future. There are reports that this touchscreen can later find its way to the other Ford cars also.

Currently the Ford Figo and Ford Aspire top end variant, Titanium+ trims are offered with a SYNC 1 infotainment system that has a non-touchscreen display and features Voice Commands. There are no clarities as of now that whether the new touchscreen system will be the SYNC 2 system borrowed from 2016 Ford Endeavour or not. This introduction might lead to a redesign of the whole centre console.

The other vehicles in similar or lesser price range that are using the touchscreens include Renault Kwid RxT which despite of being an entry level hatchback is offering a 7inch touchscreen display which features navigation as well as Bluetooth connectivity. The other competing vehicles include Volkswagen Ameo and Tata Zest that are using a touchscreen infotainment system.

This update may or may not affect the prices of the Ford vehicles that are currently priced between Rs. 4.47lakhs to Rs. 7.61lakhs for the Ford Figo whereas the Ford Aspire price in India ranges from Rs. 5.60 lakhs to Rs. 9.35 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom New Delhi.

Apart from this, Ford has been in news for their Monsoon Service Camps which offer free 42-point checks that include carwashes as well as other discounts. Further, these camps are being offered through 376 Ford sales and service stations that are present in over 200 cities in India.
