Fiat Punto Evo PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech get power from the 1.3-lite Multijet turbocharged engine making 90 PS and 209 Nm torque
The PowerTech series will begin at Rs. 6.81 lakh for the Fiat Punto EVO and Rs. 7.87 lakh for the Fiat Avventura respectively (both prices ex-showroom, New Delhi). Both the PowerTech range alongside the newly launched Linea 125S executive sedan will be made available with touchscreen infotainment system having navigation provision across all trims.
The five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Map My India navigation comprises of Bluetooth connectivity, SD card facility and USB alongside rear view camera for the ease of parking and reversing. The 1.3-lite Multijet turbocharged, inline, four-valve, DOHC diesel engine will produce 93 PS of maximum power output at 4,000 rpm and 209 Nm of peak torque delivered at 2,000 rpm. The same motor can currently be found in the Linea as well.
The Fiat Punto Evo PowerTech and Avventura PowerTech models will be offered in three trims namely Active, Dynamic and Emotion. No other changes have been implemented on either of the models. The Fiat Punto Evo PowerTech has a claimed mileage of 20.5 kmpl and the power is sent to the front wheel through a five-speed manual transmission.
The new powerful Punto continues to measure 3,989 mm in length, 1,687 mm in width, 1,525 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,510 mm besides 185 mm ground clearance. The bootspace capacity is at 280 litres and the hatchback tips the weighing scale at 1,198 kilograms.
Some of the important features are Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Engine immobilizer, Child Safety Lock, Automatic Climate Control, Tilt Steering Wheel, mono-tone black interior, power assisted steering, Electrically adjustable and body coloured Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs), etc.
Meanwhile, the Fiat Avventura has the 90 PS 1.3-litre diesel motor as a new addition alongside the 1.4-litre petrol engine producing 89 bhp and 115 Nm of peak torque. The entry-level Active 1.4 variant starts at Rs. 6.81 lakh and it goes up to Rs. 10.26 lakh for the T-Jet 1.4 petrol version.
