Emirates SkyWheels enables end-to-end transportation of classic, luxury and sports cars with utmost care and safety

The freight division of Emirates airline, SkyCargo, has launched a new transportation product for high-end automobiles. Across its network, the Emirates SkyWheels will enable customers a comprehensive solution on transportation of high value vehicles such as classic, luxury and sports cars. Emirates SkyCargo has introduced this specialised transportation solution under two schemes namely SkyWheels Premium and SkyWheels Advanced.

Both options will have distinct advantages of their own and customers can choose their desired package. The Premium level will be responsible for door-to-door transportation of the vehicle from select origins and destinations. It comprises of picking up the vehicle from home and delivering it overseas alongside covering processes for exporting and importing customs clearance at both ends of the travel.

The Emirates SkyWheels Premium scheme also includes additional road and transport insurance. In the Emirates SkyWheels Advanced package, seamless airport-to-airport transportation for automobiles is offered besides a complete round trip handling in both the packages. The SkyCargo division of Emirates has expertise in transporting expensive vehicles with well-trained and highly-qualified staff in over 150 destinations across 6 continents.

It features a modern fleet of over 245 wide-body aircraft including 15 freighters; 13 Boeing 777Fs and two B747-400ERFs with state-of-the-art cargo terminals in Dubai with dedicated storage space for vehicles. The experienced staff will load and unload vehicles with utmost attention to safety and recently an exclusive Pagani Zonda F super car was transported from Dubai to Pagani’s factory near Bologna in Italy.

Emirates SkyCargo also sponsors the inaugural Gulf Concours event that had been hosted recently in Dubai. It brought together a combination of rare classic cars and modern bespoke luxury and supercars for the first time in that region. The SkyCargo transported $40 million dollar worth 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO legendary racer to the event along with a 1955 Ferrari 250 GT Competizione Berlinetta Sport Speciale and a rare 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione.
