Ducati MultiStrada 1200 Enduro a
nd MultiStrada Pikes Peak both show that the USA market is very critical for the Italian brand and it also targets it key rival KTM with the Enduro
The last but not the least bike from the Ducati stable to be showcased was the Ducati MultiStrada 1200 Enduro. The Multistrada was always known for dual purpose. On road touring as well as off-roading with the special tyres and customized riding modes and throttle maps along with switchable ABS. However, Ducati doesn’t want to limit itself and has introduced a off-road adventure motorcycle focused motorcycle today. There is always the Hyper motorcycle series and Mutlistrada itself for other needs.
Ducati MultiStrada 1200 Enduro will get the Ducati Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, Dual Spark, liquid-cooled engine that makes 160 BHP and 136 Nm of torque. 6-speed gearbox is standard. Main high point is the chassis which gets raised.
The suspension travel reaches 30mm more over the standard as it reaches 200mm. 19 inch wheel at the front and 17-inch at the rear with spokes wheel further says what is here to do. 254 Kg kerb weight is 23 kg more over the standard bike as it has a massive 30 litre fuel tank.
Bash plates below the engine are also present for protection despite the fact it has a lot of ground clearance to boost of. Pirelli Scopion Trail II off road tyres are slapped on those to large wheels.
Fully adjustable Sachs unit is seen at the front of the Ducati MultiStrada 1200 Enduro. Electronic compression & rebound damping adjustment makes things easier. Electronic spring pre-load adjustment with Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) for the rear makes it entry too. Aluminium double-sided swingarm is here for rigidity.
Brakes wise, dual 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted monoblocco Brembo caliper and 245 mm rear disc with two piston caliper is available along with standard ABS. Electronic Riding Modes, Power Modes, Cruise control are here.
Cornering ABS along wtih DTC and DWC, RbW, Hands-Free, Full Led headlamp with light cornering function, bluetooth module for infotainment is also installed.
MultiStrada Pikes Peak was also showcased which was a regular Multistrada with a special bolt on accessories and a stunning new livery. Techanical updates include a Öhlins fork and premium quality TTX36 rear shock. Ultralight carbon fibre componentry and the internationally homologated Ducati Performance by Termignoni carbon fibre silencer is also added to the list.
