7 Seater Renault Duster looks radically different compare to the outgoing model

Renault Duster is certainly one of the most popular compact SUV in India. The car has given the French automaker a new life in the Indian market. Now with the next generation Duster due to launch in 2018, Auto Express has published the rendered images of the upcoming 7 Seater Renault Duster. The new Duster looks completely different compare to the outgoing model.

It seems the new generation Duster will come larger and wider than the outgoing model. Also, the new model looks taller than the present generation Duster. It will be built on the Renault Nissan alliance’s CMF modular platform. The next generation Renault Duster will be available in both the 5 seater and 7 seater layout. Expect the 5 seater model to hit the market in 2017, while the 7 seater will come in 2018.

The new Duster features an all new design language, which is reflected through the rendered images. The front profile looks bolder with new grille, new set of sleeker headlamp clusters. Expect the headlamp clusters to come bearing projector units and LED daytime running lights. The front bumper looks massive and beefy with wide slated air intake, skid plate.

At the side profile the car features thick cladding, aggressive alloy wheels, flared wheel arches, thick character lines. The side turning indicator integrated ORVMs, chrome lined blackened glass area enhances the appeal. The rear profile also boasts a roof spoiler with high mounted stop lamp, squarish taillights with LED units. To enhance the off roader character the rear profile is fitted with skid plate at the bottom.

On the mechanical front the new generation Duster is expected to come retaining the same engines. On the diesel front the car would get a 1.5 litre engine available in two different tunes; 84 bhp and 108 bhp. The petrol variant would get a 1.6 litre engine generating 130 bhp of peak power. Transmission options would include 5 speed manual, 6 speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
