2017 Suzuki S-Cross spied in Hungary looks way more aggressive than the outgoing model

Few days ago Suzuki showcased the facelifted S-Cross premium crossover at an event in Hungary. Now the car has started reaching dealerships. It seems the facelifted S-Cross is about to launch sooner than we expected. In India expect the car to reach in 2017 though. The facelifted Maruti Suzuki S-Cross looks much more aggressive compare to the outgoing model.

The front fascia specially gets some significant changes. It gets a completely new front grille, new headlamp clusters, new fog lamp enclosures and new front bumper. The new front grille comes with loads of chrome garnishing and vertical slats. With the vertical slats it gives a BMW like vibe. But Suzuki has fitted the car with a single frame grille, unlike BMW’s two part kidney grille.

The headlamp clusters have been redesigned and they feature a sharper appearance. The lower fascia gets a larger air intake, while the fog lamp enclosures have been redesigned as well. The creases on the hood and the chrome trim on window are new features the car sports.

The side profile and the rear profile of the facelifted car remain almost identical. The interior also comes similar, as no visible changes are there. Expect the upholstery materials to get improved and the infotainment system might get updated software.

The India spec Maruti-Suzuki S-Cross will come powered by the same diesel engine options. In that case the engines are going to be a 1.3 litre DDiS 200 and a 1.6 litre DDiS 320 diesel engine. Expect the engines to come retuned for better fuel economy.

The Indo Japanese automaker don’t offer petrol engine under the hood of outgoing model in India. But expect a 1.5 litre engine to be introduced. The car’s official global debut is expected to happen at 2016 Paris Motor Show later this year in October.
