From exterior to interior, new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift looks very much sportier

Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular and top selling hatchback in Indian market. The upmarket car has been catering the needs of Indian customers for long time, and with the steeply growing competition the car is now due for a facelift. Recently the leaked images of the next generation Swift has surfaced in the web world, and the new Swift looks very much aggressive, upmarket and stylish.

Alleged to be clicked in one of the dealer’s conference in Europe, the leaked images show the new Swift in an all new avatar. Although the car retains the basic shape, but the changes are dynamic. The new Swift will sport a hexagonal honeycomb design front grille, new projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, large air dams also housing the fog lamps. The lower part gets splitter like black part, which extend to both the sides as well. It might be a crazy and radical thinking, but this is something like what we have seen in the recently unveiled Lamborghini Centenario, in yellow paint; remember?

The side profiles come with a completely floating roof design with the A and B pillars completely blackened out and the rear pillar partly darkened. Interestingly, the rear door handles are shifted to the rear pillar darkened area, giving a hidden effect; these features can be seen in the Mahindra KUV100 and Chevrolet Beat also. The roofline is sloping toward the rear, and the car also gets aggressive alloy wheels. The rear profile comes with roof spoiler with stop lamp, shark fin antenna, and a redesigned rear bumper.

Transmission duty in the new Swift would be done by a five speed manual gearbox, while an AMT and a CVT is expected as well. Expect the new Swift to be launched in India with pricetag ranging between Rs. 5 – 8 lakh on road.
