2017 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has been launched in India; comes powered by 998cc liquid-cooled engine making 197 bhp

India Kawasaki Motors launched the 2017 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in the country. The sportsbike has been the winner of the World Superbike Championships in 2013 and 2015, and presently it leads the 2016 championship standings as well. India Kawasaki Motors will start the delivery of the 2017 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R from third week of next month.

The litre-class sportsbike gets a stunning appearance, and a very powerful engine delivering power to it. Dimensionally, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R measures 2,090mm in length, 745mm in width and 1,145mm in height and also a wheelbase of 1,440mm. The 204kg weighing sportsbike comes with a 145mm of ground clearance and 17-litres of fuel tank capacity.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R takes power from a 998cc liquid-cooled engine, which is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine churns out 197 BHP of peak power at 13,000 RPM and 113.5 NM of peak torque at 11,500 RPM.

In terms of technology, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with loads of tech indeed, and these state-of-the-art technologies come borrowed from the Kawasaki Racing team. These technologies include Kawasaki Engine Braking Control, Kawasaki Launch Control Model, Kawasaki Intelligent Braking System, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, WSBK derived Showa suspension. The bike is equipped with a 5-mode Traction Control System and also a Corner Management technology, which gives the rider better control over the machine.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

On the suspension front, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets 43mm inverted front fork, and the rear of the model gets horizontal back-link with BFRC-lite, gas-charged shock absorber. For the braking duty, the sportsbike gets Brembo 330mm dual-disc with four-piston calipers at the front wheel, and the rear wheel is equipped with a single 220mm semi-floating petal disc.
