2017 Hyundai Azera incorporates a fresh elegant design language, comes with range of powerful engine options

Hyundai has launched the all-new Azera premium sedan in South Korea, where it is badged as the Grandeur. The sixth-generation model comes incorporating fresh and elegant design language at exterior, premium luxury inside the cabin. Also, this car comes with a range of advanced technologies and powerful engine options.

At exterior the car receives significant design updates. Up front, it sports a new front grille, which is directly inspired by the Genesis G80 luxury sedan. Apart from that, sharp dual-beam LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights enhance the style. Front bumper has been updated as well and it features a sleek air intake, horizontally positioned LED fog lamps. Sharp creases on the hood meeting the raked windscreen, give it a sculpted look.

Side profile of the Hyundai Azera sports bold-looking multi-spoke wheels, sharp character lines and nice curved roofline, giving it a coupe like design. At rear profile, the car receives shark fin antenna, wide LED taillights along with a reflector, a bold bumper and integrated exhaust.

Interior of all-new Hyundai Azera has been designed to deliver a premium luxurious experience to the occupants. It features premium Nappa leather seats, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Hyundai claims, it is the most technologically advanced car in the company’s product line-up. The sedan also gets a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging for mobile devices and ample space.

The luxury sedan is equipped with a range of new safety features, which include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Detection, Driver Attention Alert, Advanced Smart Cruise Control and Around View Monitor.

On powertrain front, the Hyundai Azera in Korean market is available with four different powertrain options. These engine options include a 3.0-litre GDi petrol, a 2.4-litre GDi petrol, a 2.2-litre diesel and a 3.0-litre LPi engine as well, with the latter one available only in fleet/rental models. Transmission options for the car include a newly-developed 8-speed automatic gearbox, which is available with 3.0-litre GDI petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Other two engines come available with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
