Honda Motorcycles and Scooter Pvt. Ltd. launched the 2016 Activa-I scooter with all new colour options. The 2016 Honda Activa-I receives the same price tag costing the scooter Rs. 46596 (ex showroom, Delhi) and Rs. 50255 (ex showroom, Mumbai).
The 2016 Honda Activa-I gets new body decals apart from the new body colours. But there are no cosmetic or mechanical changes to the scooter at all. The new colours introduced to the updated Honda Activa-I are Pearl Trance Yellow and Candy Jazzy Blue, which will be available in the standard variant, while the Imperial Metallic Red will be available in the Deluxe variant. Apart from that the exiting colours like Pearl Amazing White, Orchid Purple Metallic and Black will be available as well. Honda Activa-I bears the legacy of the Activa. The scooter is sleek in design and lightweight for better and convenient handling.
The 2016 Honda Activa-I is powered by a 110 cc single cylinder air cooled engine mated to a V-Matic Transmission which churns out 8 bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and 8.74 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. To deliver improved fuel economy Honda has equipped the Activa-I with Honda Eco Technology (HET).
In the two wheeler market of India the scooters are becoming rapidly popular. In terms of sales, the scooter segment has beaten the motorcycles as well. Now with the refreshed Honda Activa-I Honda Motorcycles and Scooter Pvt. Ltd is trying to boost the sales of the already pretty popular Activa brand.
Talking about the launch of new 2016 Honda Activa-I Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, the Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd explained how the company plans to surprise its customers with the fresh new products at a regular basis. In 2016 this updated Honda Activa-i is the seventh model launched. The company is also hoping to accelerate the ‘scooterization’ of the Indian two wheeler industry. He also hinted that the two wheeler maker will launch several updated models this year.
